FLIP FLOPS . . .

The quintessential footwear ... my favorite ... they scream comfort ... me just being me ... they remind me of a simpler time in my life ... being on the beach ... the warm sand ...

the blue ocean ... collecting beach glass ... the sparkling water on a sunny day ... so many wonderful memories ...

When I was very young ... my first flip flops ... were jelly flops ... it seemed I grew up in flip flops and a bathing suit ... from Victoria Day till Labour Day (Canada) ... then as I got older and more aware of peer pressure regarding fashion ... I discarded my old comfortable ways ... first came water buffalo sandals, tie dyed joe cocker shirts and Levi jeans (love and peace) ... after that came the advanced flip flop from Teva (the favorite of tree huggers and granolies) ... that was followed by the sporty flip flop from Speedo, Puma and Adidas (the choice of the fit generation) ... now older and wiser I have come full circle returning to my roots and the old stand by ... the standard beach flip flop ...
